3 Injured in Kings County Accident on Highway 43 at 5 1/2 Avenue
3 Hospitalized After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Kings County
Kings County, California: Three people were hospitalized, two with serious injuries, after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Kings County.
The pileup was reported around 4:15 p.m. on Highway 43 at 5 1/2 Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevy was traveling on Highway 43 approaching 5 1/2 Avenue with no stop, and another unidentified car was stopped at 5 1/2 Avenue, waiting for the Chevy to pass before continuing into the street.
At the same time, a Honda traveling in the opposite direction of 5 1/2 Avenue failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the Chevy. One of the vehicles then hit the unidentified vehicle waiting at the stop sign.
Two people from the Chevy were hospitalized with serious injuries. One person from the Honda was also hospitalized with moderate injuries.
There were no injuries reported in the vehicle that was waiting at the stop sign.
