Rio Vista, California – Three people were hospitalized following a head-on collision on Saturday afternoon in Rio Vista, south of Isleton.
The accident was reported at around 5:45 p.m. on Highway 12 just east of Jackson Slough Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on in unclear circumstances.
One person suffered major injuries and was flown to the hospital for treatment.
Two other people were transported by ambulance.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
