Santa Maria, California – Three people were injured in a head-on collision on Friday afternoon in Santa Maria.
The accident was reported around 2 p.m. on Highway 166 near Cottonwood Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles reportedly collided head-on in unclear circumstances.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department arrived at the scene and airlifted a man and woman to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
Another female was taken to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
