Sierra County, California – Three people were injured in a head-on collision that happened on Friday afternoon in Sierra County.
The accident was reported around 2:18 p.m. on Highway 89 at the Calpine Summit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
James Sweeney, 80 of Los Gatos, was driving a car when he drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a truck.
Sweeney and two men in the truck were taken to the hospital for treatment. The two were identified as Ian Baxter, 55 and Mark O’Camb, 51.
