3 Killed in Azusa Crash at Cerritos Avenue and Arrow Highway
Azusa, California – Three people are dead following a multi-vehicle collision that happened on Wednesday afternoon in Azusa.
The accident was reported at around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Cerritos Avenue and Arrow Highway, according to the Azusa Police Department.
Two motorcycles were traveling eastbound on Arrow Highway at a high rate of speed when they crashed into several other vehicles at the intersection.
The impact of the collision caused one of the motorcycles to spin out of control and strike a pedestrian seated on a path of grass off the roadway.
Two people died at the accident scene, while a third victim was transported to the hospital, where he died while receiving treatment.
The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No passengers in any of the other vehicles were injured.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
