3 Killed in Othello Crash on SR 17 at Cunnigham Road
Othello, Washington – Three people were killed in a head-on collision near Othello on Thursday morning.
The triple-fatal crash happened on Highway 17 at Cunnigham Road at around 7 a.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.
44-year-old Manuela Franco Huerta, of Warden, was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound when she lost control and collided head-on with a semi-truck driven by 53-year-old Jeffery Tibbs of Hermiston, Oregon.
Manuela, 14-year-old Daniel Gama Perez of Warden and 44-year-old Brini Moran Flores of Warden, were transported to the hospital where they died while receiving treatment.
Tibbs was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
