Three People Die in Mercer Island Car Accident Involving Wrong-Way Driver on Interstate 90

3 Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on I-90 in Mercer Island
Mercer Island, Washington: Three people died in a wrong-way collision that happened early Monday morning on eastbound Interstate 90 in Mercer Island.
Two vehicles, including one traveling the wrong way, were involved in the crash just after midnight near exit 7B, the Washington State Patrol said.
The sole occupant of the wrong-way car and the two occupants in the victim vehicle died in the crash.
Troopers did not immediately establish what caused the collision.
A portion of eastbound I-90 near the crash scene was shut down during an investigation.
