3 People Injured in Sutter County Crash on SR 20 at Tarke Road

Sutter County, California – Three people, including two students, were injured in a collision involving a school bus at an intersection in Sutter County on Thursday morning.

The accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. at Highway 20 and South Tarke Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.

A 64-year-old Marysville man was driving a school bus northbound on Tarke when he collided with a 2014 Ford Fusion that was traveling east on Highway 20.

Two Meridian Elementary School District students on the bus, an 11-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, were injured and were transported to Adventist Health and Rideout Hospital.

The 29-year-old Colusa man who was driving the Ford Fusion was hospitalized with minor injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway
