3 Women Killed in Modesto Crash on Highway 132 near Gates Road
Modesto, California – Three people were killed in a head-on collision that happened on Thursday morning in Modesto.
The fatal crash was reported at around 7:30 a.m. on Highway 132 west of Gates Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
49-year-old Wyatt Gordon of Modesto was driving a Lexus at a high rate of speed when he veered left into the path of a Hyundai sedan and the two vehicles collided.
Two women, a 64 and 67-year-old, in the Hyundai, were killed in the accident.
A third woman in the same car was airlifted to the hospital, where she died.
Gordon was believed to have been driving under the influence and was arrested.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
