3 Women Killed in Suspected DUI Crash in Pomona

Pomona, California: Three women died, and several others were injured in a suspected DUI crash that happened Saturday night in Pomona.

One of the involved cars was reportedly carrying a family going home from a baby shower.

The three women were identified by the family as Lorena Morales, Ysenia Ochoa, and Alejandra Olaez.

Pomona police said the two-vehicle collision was reported around 11 p.m. at White Avenue and Phillips Boulevard.

Emergency personnel from Pomona and Los Angeles County responded to the scene and found multiple patients with moderate to severe injuries.

Two women were declared dead at the scene.

Three other patients were taken to a local hospital, where one other woman was pronounced dead. The deceased was driving one of the cars.

Among those hospitalized were Morales’s boyfriend, Juna Manuel Jaime Garcia, and another girl.

36-year-old Victor Siharath from Pomona was driving the other vehicle. He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while impaired.
