4, Including Juveniles, Injured in Tillamook Crash
Tillamook, Oregon: Four people, including two juveniles, were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle pileup that happened Sunday afternoon in Tillamook, the Oregon State Police said.
The incident was reported at about 2:41 p.m. on Highway 18 near milepost 14.
OSP said the crash started when the driver of a white Ford Transit van, identified as William Nicolas Calderon, 20, of Lincoln City, drifted from his lane on the westbound side and sideswiped a gray Honda Pilot.
The van then sideswiped a gray Ford Ranger and collided head-on with a gray Subaru Crosstrek.
The driver of the Subaru, Jennifer Marie Ahlstrom, 48, of Portland, was taken to a local hospital by air with serious injuries. Her two juvenile passengers were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance with unspecified injuries.
Calderon was also hospitalized with unknown injuries.
The driver of the Honda, Joseph Daniel Davis, 59, of Dallas, and the driver of the Ford, Kory Lee Thomas, 51, of Salem, were not injured.
Authorities did not immediately determine what caused Calderon’s vehicle to veer from its lane.
