4 Injured in Crash at Carl’s Jr. Drive Thru in Kearny Mesa

San Diego, California – Four people were injured in a car crash at a drive-thru in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood of San Diego.

The accident was reported around 6:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of Convoy Street, according to the San Diego Police Department.

A 40-year-old woman was driving a 2001 Honda Accord in the drive-thru line with two passengers when she rear-ended a 1990 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 23-year-old man.

Authorities say the impact of the collision caused the Toyota to strike a curb and crash into the Carl’s Jr. drive-thru wall.

The woman driving the Honda and her front passenger suffered minor injuries, while the rear passenger sustained fractured ribs and an ear laceration.

The Toyota driver sustained a brain bleed and fractured vertebrae.

More details about the accident were not released.
