5 Injured After Food Truck Explodes in Whittier
Whittier, California: Five people were hurt, two of them critically, when a food truck exploded Saturday morning outside a coffee shop in Whittier, the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. in the 6700 block of Greenleaf Avenue outside Lift café.
The coffee shop was operating from a food truck after the roof of its restaurant caved in.
The food truck exploded, injuring five people. Two of the victims were listed in critical condition. Two others sustained moderate injuries, and the fifth suffered minor injuries.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating.
