Corona, California – At least five people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Corona on Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at around 11:50 a.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway near Serfas Club Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Three vehicles were involved in the accident, but the circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.
Corona Fire Department crews who arrived at the scene found three people trapped inside a heavily damaged car. The three were extricated before being taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Two people in the other two cars were hospitalized with moderate injuries.
