5 Injured in Violent Mid City Crash on Venice Boulevard

Mid City, California – Five people were hospitalized after a violent car crash involving two vehicles and a pedestrian on Sunday evening in Mid-City.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident occurred in the 4700 block of W. Venice Boulevard near La Brea Avenue at about 6:30 a.m.

Two cars and a pedestrian were involved in the collision.

One person was trapped inside one of the cars and firefighters used hydraulic tools to free them.

Two women were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police say a 51-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl were hospitalized with moderate injuries.

More details about the collision were not provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
