5 People Injured After Driver Runs Red Light in Mesa
Mesa, California: Five people were hospitalized after a driver ran a red light at an intersection in Mesa and caused a traffic collision.
According to Mesa police, the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Dobson Road and Broadway.
The driver of a Chevrolet ran a red light near the intersection and collided with a Toyota. The Chevrolet spun out and struck several objects before stopping in a nearby parking lot.
The driver of the Chevrolet was hospitalized with minor facial injuries. The Chevrolet had three passengers at the time of the accident. One of them was hospitalized with potentially serious injuries, and the other two were hospitalized with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.
Investigators are trying to determine whether the driver of the Chevrolet was impaired at the time of the accident.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
