6 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision at Bowman and Adams Roads in Cottonwood

Cottonwood, California – Six people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Cottonwood on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Bowman and Adams roads at around 2:38 p.m.

A Dodge Ram 3500, a Ford Escape, a Kia Soul, a Lincoln MKX and a Chevrolet Impala were involved in the collision.

Authorities say the Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Bowman Road when the driver got distracted and crashed into a stopped vehicle ahead of him. The crash caused a chain reaction collision involving three more vehicles.

Six people were injured but only two were taken to hospital.

No arrest was made.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
