Albany, Oregon – At least seven people were killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Thursday afternoon in Albany.
The pileup was reported at around 2:05 p.m. on Interstate 5 Freeway near the Santiam rest area, Oregon State Police said in a statement.
Two semi-trucks and a van were recovered at the accident scene. However, the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
OSP says seven adults were killed in the accident.
The deceased persons were not immediately identified.
