Los Angeles, California – At least seven people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened on Sunday afternoon in the Maywood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
The accident was reported at around 3 p.m. near Slauson and Alamo avenues, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The officers who responded to the incident located five vehicles at the accident scene. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
Several people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by the authorities.
Seven people were transported to the hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
