Indio, California: Seven people were injured, three seriously, in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Sunday evening in Indio, authorities said.
The crash took place around 7:24 p.m. at Fred Waring Drive and Clinton Street.
Four vehicles collided under unclear circumstances.
The Riverside County Fire Department said three people sustained serious injuries, and four others suffered minor injuries.
All patients were transported to hospitals by ground ambulance.
Fred Waring Drive west of Clinton Street was closed during the investigation.
