Man Dies After Semi-Truck Collision on Hageman Road near Martin Avenue
Bakersfield, California – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly accident that killed a 70-year-old man from Roseburg on Tuesday morning in Bakersfield.
The fatal accident occurred at around 3:10 a.m. on Hageman Road near Martin Avenue.
Per the CHP officials, the elderly man from Oregon was heading east on Hageman Road near Martin Avenue in a jeep hauling a trailer when he swerved into the path of approaching vehicles and crashed into an oncoming semi-truck.
The Jeep went off the roadway and rolled over into an orchard.
The big rig driver from Apple Valley was not injured in the accident.
An investigation is underway.
