8 Injured in Friday Morning Mid-Wilshire Crash

Mid-Wilshire, California (April 28, 2023) – Eight people were injured when two vehicles collided early Friday morning at an intersection in Los Angeles, police said.

The wreck took place at about 2 a.m. at La Brea Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found at least eight people injured.

At least one person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, and four others with unspecified injuries.

Three patients were treated at the scene and released.

Clothing, tires, and glass debris were scattered in traffic lanes.

The crash also left a traffic sign and a fire hydrant damaged, causing water to gush about 30 feet into the air.

Southbound La Brea Avenue between San Vicente Boulevard and Olympic Boulevard remained closed until around 5 a.m.
