Peggy Masuda Killed in Santa Margarita Motorcycle Accident on Highway 58
Santa Margarita, California – A 52-year-old Oxnard woman died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon in Santa Margarita.
The accident happened at around 1:46 p.m. on Highway 58 north of West Pozo Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Peggy Masuda was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle southbound on the highway when she collided with a northbound Ford Raptor driven by 74-year-old Danny Oster.
Masuda was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo where she later died.
Danny suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
