2 Killed in Yreka Crash on State Route 3 near Forest Mountain Summit
Yreka, California – Two people were killed in a car crash on Saturday night in Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported at around 9:25 p.m. on State Route 3 near Forest Mountain Summit.
A Ford pickup truck was reportedly traveling downhill on the highway when the driver lost control and drove into oncoming traffic where it collided with a Honda Pilot.
Both the driver and a passenger in the Ford truck were killed in the accident.
Authorities say the driver of the Honda and three of the juvenile passengers were seriously injured in the crash and were transported to Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka.
The fourth juvenile passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
