Motorcyclist Killed in Collision on Federal Boulevard in Encanto
San Diego, California (June 24, 2023) – A 23-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision that happened in the Encanto area of San Diego on Friday night.
The motorcycle accident happened at around 7:43 p.m. in the 6200 block of Federal Boulevard, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The man was riding a motorcycle westbound behind a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by a 37-year-old man.
For unknown reasons, the Toyota made a U-turn into the motorcycle’s path and the two collided.
The rider was found unconscious at the scene and was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
