6, Including Child, Hospitalized after Several People Trapped in Fresno County Collision
Fresno County, California: Six people, including a juvenile, were injured in a head-on collision that happened Sunday in Fresno County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred around 7:50 p.m. on Hills Valley Road south of Manning Avenue.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Juan Aguilar, 34, of Cutler, was driving a Dodge Durango northbound on Hills Valley Road when, for an unknown reason, he veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a Nissan Titan occupied by five people.
Everyone involved got pinned in their vehicles but one passenger was able to self-extricate.
Emergency personnel responded and freed the victims.
The driver of the Titan and an 11-year-old girl were airlifted to local hospitals with major injuries.
Aguilar and a passenger from the Titan were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with major injuries.
Two other passengers in the Titan were also hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Authorities said Aguilar was arrested but did not give more details.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
