Crystal Conover Killed in North Phoenix Accident near 14th Avenue and Thunderbird Road
North Phoenix, Arizona (May 2, 2023) – Police have identified Crystal Conover, 41, as the woman killed in a head-on crash on Monday afternoon in North Phoenix.
The deadly crash occurred near 14th Avenue and Thunderbird Road before noon on May 1.
Authorities said Conover was heading east in the westbound lanes of Thunderbird Road when for unknown reasons, crashed head-on into a truck. The impact caused Conover’s vehicle to catch fire following the incident.
Conover suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead following the collision.
The truck driver suffered severe non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Police are yet to determine if impairment contributed to this collision.
Further details concerning this collision were not released.
An investigation is ongoing.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
