Peter Ramirez and Female CHP Officer Hospitalized After Car Accident on Shenandoah Road near Dickson Road in Plymouth

Amador CHP Officer, Man Airlifted to Hospital After Plymouth Car Crash

Plymouth, California: 46-year-old Peter Ramirez and a female Amador County California Highway Patrol officer were airlifted to the hospital after their vehicles collided Friday afternoon in Plymouth.

According to CHP, the crash occurred around 4 p.m. on Shenandoah Road west of Dickson Road.

Authorities said a female CHP officer was attempting to pull over another vehicle while driving eastbound on Shenandoah.

The patrol car was broadsided by an oncoming 2024 Mercedes driven in the westbound lane by Ramirez.

The collision left both the officer and Ramirez with moderate injuries.

Both victims were transported by ground ambulance to the Amador County Fairgrounds from where the officer was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center and Ramirez to UC Davis Medical Center. Their injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

The collision is under investigation.
