Andrew Martinez Dies After Motorcycle Accident on East Broadway
Tucson, Arizona – The Tucson Police Department is investigating a deadly motorcycle accident that killed one person on Friday evening in Tucson.
The deadly collision occurred at around 7:30 p.m. in the 6100 block of East Broadway at around 7:30 p.m. on November 8.
Authorities said 22-year-old Andrew Martinez was heading eastbound on East Broadway at a high rate of speed when he slammed into a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander that was turning into a parking lot.
Martinez was declared dead at the crash site.
The second driver was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Authorities said the Mitsubishi failed to yield while making a turn and the rider was also traveling at a high rate of speed causing the collision.
No other information concerning this crash was provided.
The incident remains under investigation.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
