Angels of the Zariman is the name of Warframe’s first expansion after the massive New War. It’s an expansion that will include a new quest, Warframe, and “at least two” new game types, among other things, according to a development broadcast on Friday.
The Angels of Zariman addition will get included in Warframe update 31.5, and it’s part of Digital Extremes’ commitment to making 2022 the “greatest year yet” for Warframe. There isn’t much else to say, but speculation abounds.
The Zariman is a ship that brought individuals who would eventually become Warframe’s Tenno protagonists into the strange and Void, according to Warframe’s backstory. It was a crucial location in The New War, and I’d expect any expansion named after it to have a significant impact on Warframe’s background. We’ll see what happens with the titular angels—it may be the Tenno or something considerably eviler.
Before Angels of the Zariman, Warframe will receive the 31.1 Echoes of War update, which will allow players to repeat The New War.
But that wasn’t the only piece of information we received. Players have been waiting patiently for cross-play and cross-save support for quite some time, and while we’re still not sure when they’ll be available, the team did confirm in a follow-up tweet that “cross-play and cross-save are top priorities for 2022,” even though “there’s still some work to do.”

Warframe, free or not, is still one of the most enjoyable games available today. Just avoid the clumsy post-tutorial section and enjoy the thrill of the game.
