At Least 1 Killed in Fiery Big Rig Crash on I-15 in Barstow
Barstow, California: The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly fiery collision that happened early Thursday morning in Barstow.
The accident was reported at about 3:39 a.m. on southbound Interstate 15 at the Outlet Center Drive off-ramp.
A car of an unknown make and model collided with a semi-truck loaded with 40,000 pounds of cardboard.
The car ended up wedged underneath the semi, caught fire, and became fully engulfed.
The big rig acquired a broken left-rear axle.
CHP said at least one person was killed in the accident.
The cause of the collision was not immediately established, but authorities are investigating.
