At Least One Person Dies in Corona Car Accident on 91 Freeway
At Least 1 Killed in Fiery Wrong-Way Crash in Corona
Corona, California: At least one person died in a head-on collision involving a wrong-way driver that happened early Monday morning in Corona.
The California Highway Patrol said a driver was traveling east in the westbound lanes of 91 Freeway when, around 12:10 a.m., the car collided head-on with another vehicle near the on-ramp for North Lincoln Avenue.
Both vehicles caught fire after the impact.
At least one person died in the crash. It was not immediately clear which vehicle the deceased occupied.
All westbound lanes were closed for several hours following the collision until around 3:40 a.m.
