At Least 1 Killed in Pomona Car Crash at E. Bonita and N. Garey Avenues
Pomona, California (May 29, 2023) – At least one person died, and another was hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night in Pomona.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the wreck occurred a while before 9 p.m. at East Bonita Avenue and North Garey Avenue.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection under unclear circumstances, one of them overturning.
Responding firefighters found two people trapped inside one of the cars.
The report said one person died in the accident, another was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Garey Avenue was closed in both directions between Bonita and Harrison avenues following the accident.
