At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision on SR-24 in Lafayette
Lafayette, California: At least one person suffered major injuries in a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday night on State Route 24 in Lafayette.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck took place around 11:22 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway just east of Acalanes Road.
A white Tesla Model Y collided with another car under unclear circumstances.
One of the car’s engine flew out of the vehicle in the crash and caught fire.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported at least one person to John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center with major injuries.
All eastbound lanes of the highway remained closed during the investigation.
