Oroville, California (May 8, 2023) – At least one individual suffered a severe head-on collision on Sunday afternoon in Oroville, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The major collision was reported at about 5:04 p.m. on May 7 on northbound State Route 70, just south of Bridge.
Per the dispatch, a black SUV and a white pickup truck crashed head-on for reasons yet to be determined.
Responding firefighters extricated one party pinned inside one of the vehicles. The patient sustained severe injuries in the collision.
Police issued a SigAlert blocking the roadway due to the accident.
No other information regarding this crash was provided.
