Authorities Identify Man and Woman Killed in Van Nuys Train Accident
Van Nuys, California: Authorities identified the two people who were fatally struck by a train Sunday night in Van Nuys.
According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, the victims were Bunny Martinez, 39, and Jessie Lopez, 26.
The pair was struck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train around 9:29 p.m. east of the 7600 block of Woodman Avenue.
Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
No passenger or crew member on the train was injured.
The train stopped after the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
