Bakersfield Patrol Officer, Driver Injured in Crash at Calloway Dr and Brimhall Rd
Bakersfield, California: A Bakersfield police officer and the driver of an SUV were injured when their vehicles collided Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Bakersfield.
At around 12:49 p.m., an officer was driving a patrol car south on Calloway, approaching the intersection with Brimhall. A man driving an SUV north on Calloway turned west across the southbound lanes of Calloway, causing the two vehicles to collide.
The officer and the SUV driver sustained minor injuries.
Speed and impairment were not considered contributing factors.
An investigation is ongoing.
