Bicyclist Fatally Hit by Car in Apple Valley Identified
Apple Valley, California: 66-year-old Gerald Duncan was killed in a bicycle accident that happened Tuesday evening at an intersection in Apple Valley, authorities said.
The accident was reported around 5:48 p.m. near Navajo Road and Ottawa Road.
Duncan was riding a bicycle west across Navajo Road wearing dark clothing when a white Chevrolet Colorado going southbound in the No. 1 lane of Navajo Road hit him.
First responders found the rider lying several feet away from his mangled bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators closed Navajo Road in both directions between Ottawa and Powhatan roads following the crash.
