Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Car in Spokane Valley
Spokane Valley, Washington: A cyclist died after being hit by a car Friday morning at an intersection in Spokane Valley, authorities said.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened in the area of Appleway Trail and S. Evergreen Road.
A preliminary investigation showed that a bicyclist was going east on the Appleway Trail, attempting to cross Evergreen Road when he was hit by a car going north.
Paramedics took the victim to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The two occupants of the car cooperated with investigators.
Police said speed or impairment did not appear to be contributing factors.
