Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Car on Highway 111 in Rancho Mirage
Rancho Mirage, California: A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning at an intersection near Rancho Mirage City Hall.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, the collision occurred around 10 a.m. on Highway 111, also known as East Palm Canyon Drive, at Frank Sinatra Drive.
Authorities said the cyclist was hit by a car under unclear circumstances.
First responders found the rider unresponsive and pronounced them dead at the scene.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Impairment is not believed to be a contributing factor.
