Bicyclist Hit and Killed by DUI Driver in Hemet
Hemet, California: A cyclist died after being hit by a DUI driver Saturday evening in Hemet, authorities said.
The accident was reported around 6:30 p.m. on San Jacinto Street, near El Nita Lane.
The cyclist was hit by a vehicle going north on San Jacinto Street.
Responding emergency personnel found the bicyclist trapped under a car.
The victim was freed and transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Police arrested the driver involved on suspicion of impaired driving.
An investigation is ongoing.
