Fresno, California – The Fresno Police Department is investigating a traffic collision that left a bicyclist hospitalized on Tuesday afternoon in Fresno.
The crash occurred at about 4:41 p.m. at McKinley and Chestnut Avenues.
Police said the officer was in an undercover car and was heading westbound on McKinley Avenue when he was hit by the cyclist.
The cyclist was hurt in the collision and was hospitalized.
Police said alcohol and/or drugs did not play a role in the collision.
