Bicyclist Hospitalized with Life-Threatening Injuries After Green Valley Crash

Green Valley, Arizona: A 77-year-old cyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle Monday morning near an intersection in Green Valley.

According to the Green Valley Fire District, the incident happened just before 11 a.m. at Continental Road and South Abrego Drive.

The cyclist was riding northbound on Abrego Drive, and a motorist was driving southbound on the same road when the driver attempted to turn left onto Continental and hit the rider.

Emergency personnel transported the victim to Banner University Medical Center in Tucson with life-threatening injuries.

The motorist was not hurt.

Authorities are investigating the collision.
