Bicyclist Killed in Crash on 5 Freeway in Santa Ana
Santa Ana, California: A cyclist died after colliding with a motorcycle Thursday night on 5 Freeway in Santa Ana, the California Highway Patrol said.
At around 8:07 p.m., authorities received reports of a collision involving a bicycle and a motorcycle on the northbound 5 Freeway to westbound State Route 22 transition road.
First responders found the victim lying down in the No. 2 lane.
CHP said the cyclist died from injuries suffered in the accident.
The condition of the motorcyclist was not mentioned.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
