Bicyclist Killed in Moreno Valley Accident
Moreno Valley, California: A bicyclist died in a traffic collision that happened Tuesday morning at an intersection in Moreno Valley, authorities said.
The rider was hit by a vehicle at around 5:20 a.m. on Alessandro Boulevard at Graham Street.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said a Kia Optima struck the cyclist under unclear circumstances.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene minutes after the crash and found the victim lying in the roadway with severe injuries.
Paramedics rushed the victim to nearby Riverside University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators.
Officers are collecting more information to establish the cause of the accident.
