Bicyclist Killed in Sacramento State Crash Identified as Charles Carlson

Sacramento, California: The Sacramento County Coroner released the name of the cyclist who was hit and killed by a car Saturday at Sacramento State University as Charles Carlson.

The 49-year-old Sacramento man died at the scene of the collision that happened at around 11:37 a.m. on State University Drive near Sequoia Hall and the American River.

According to the Sacramento State Police Department, Carlson was riding his bicycle in the area when he was hit by a car under unclear circumstances.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
