Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on SR-74 near Hemet
Hemet, California: A bicyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle Monday evening in Hemet.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 5:56 p.m. on State Route 74.
The driver of a white Cadillac called authorities reporting that she had collided with a bicyclist.
Sheriff’s deputies and paramedics responded to the scene and found the cyclist with major injuries, including a laceration to the head. The victim was taken to Riverside University Health System for treatment.
The female driver and her 12-year-old son, who was a passenger in the Cadillac, were not injured.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
