Bicyclist Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Being Hit by Truck in Phoenix
Phoenix, Arizona: A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after she was hit by a truck while riding her bicycle at an intersection in Phoenix.
The incident was reported around 9 p.m. Friday at 51st Avenue and Indian School Road.
Authorities said the female cyclist was in a crosswalk when the driver of a pickup truck attempted to turn left onto Indian School Road and hit her.
Paramedics transported the cyclist to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver stopped and remained at the scene. Police said the driver was not impaired at the time of the accident.
