Boy Critically Hurt in North Hollywood Crash
Los Angeles, California: A 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after being hit by a bus Monday night in North Hollywood, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
The accident happened just after 10 p.m. near Chandler Boulevard and Bellaire Avenue.
Authorities said the boy was riding a scooter in the area when he was struck by a bus operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Agency.
The area has designated bus lanes that are not usable by other traffic.
The child was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Investigators are collecting more information to determine what caused the collision.
