Boy in Critical Condition After Koreatown Scooter Crash

Los Angeles, California: A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized in critical condition after he was struck by a car while riding a scooter near Vermont Avenue and Seventh Street in Koreatown.

Police said the boy was riding a rented scooter when he was hit by a car.

Paramedics transported the juvenile to the hospital in critical condition.

Police are searching for the parents of the boy.

The driver involved stopped and cooperated with investigators.

Authorities said they do not believe there was criminal negligence on the driver’s part.
